Guided Tour of Cebu and Mactan

After hotel pickup in Cebu, we will begin our tour of the historic center, believed to be the oldest in the Philippines. The first stop will be Magellan's Cross, where you will learn about the Portuguese explorer's connection to Cebu.

Next, we will visit the Santo Niño Basilica, home to the Santo Niño de Cebú (Holy Child of Cebu), a key relic in the Philippines. Following this, we will head to Fort San Pedro, a military structure established by Spanish workers and native Cebuanos in 1738.

We will then visit the Yap-Sandiego Ancestral House, preserved for over 300 years, providing insight into historical merchant life in Cebu.

Before leaving the city, we will enter the Taoist Temple, located on a hill, offering views of the city and nearby Mandaue and Lapulapu regions.

A local meal will be enjoyed in a traditional restaurant, followed by crossing to the island of Mactan via the Marcelo Fernan bridge.

In Mactan, we will visit the Lapu-Lapu shrine, a bronze statue honoring the indigenous ruler. Finally, we will tour a traditional Philippine guitar factory to learn about the instrument-making process and its cultural significance before returning to Cebu hotels.
