We'll convene at 29 Allée Jean Jaurès in Toulouse at the agreed time, embarking on a journey to Carcassonne, situated just a short drive of one hour and 15 minutes.

Upon arrival in this charming medieval locale, our first stop will be at Porte Narbonaise, where you will be granted 6 hours of free time to indulge in the local cuisine and immerse yourself in the enchanting old town as you wish. An English brochure and your tickets to the Castle of Carcassonne will be provided, alongside the option to download a complimentary audio guide in English directly to your mobile device.

The impressive walls surrounding the city are sure to astonish you, built to safeguard the legendary secrets of the Cathars. Inside the fortified area, you will encounter the Castle of Carcassonne, celebrated as one of the oldest fortifications in the Occitanie region of France.

Take the time to stroll through the ancient town, where you'll find remarkable landmarks, such as the Basilica of Sainte-Nazaire, featuring a blend of Romanesque and Gothic architecture. Don't forget to explore the outer area, including the historic medieval gates like Porte Narbonnaise and Porte de l'Aude.

In the afternoon, we will regroup in the heart of Carcassonne to return to Toulouse. Our journey back will conclude after a total of 8 hours.
