Chateaux de Villandry & Azay-le-Rideau Tour
On this tour, we will visit two notable châteaux in the Loire Valley: Villandry and Azay-le-Rideau. We will meet at the Tours Tourist Office to begin our excursion.
Our first destination is the Château d'Azay-le-Rideau, situated on an island in the Indre River. Upon arrival, we will appreciate the exterior architecture and then proceed to explore its furnished rooms.
After Azay-le-Rideau, we will head to the Château de Villandry, recognized as a significant jewel of the French Renaissance. We will walk through its elegant gardens, learn about its history, and enjoy views of the Loire Valley from its viewpoints.
The tour lasts approximately 4 hours, concluding back at the starting point in Tours.
