Loire Valley Wine Tour

On this excursion from the city of Tours, we’ll visit the vineyards of Vouvray, a significant wine-producing area in the Loire Valley, suitable for wine enthusiasts.

Tour Details

We’ll meet in front of the Tours Tourist Office at the scheduled time and travel by minibus toward Vouvray. There, we’ll explore one of the Loire Valley’s key wine regions along the banks of the Loire River.

We’ll stop at a family-run estate, visiting the traditional vat room before proceeding to the underground cellars, originally carved out in the 10th century for stone extraction, now utilized for wine production and aging. Participants will learn about the winemaking process and enjoy a wine tasting.

The experience continues in the Amboise area, where a second tasting will take place. We’ll explore the diversity of wines from this part of the valley: whites, rosés, reds, and sparkling wines, each with unique characteristics. Throughout the tour, insights will be shared to enhance understanding of the terroir and variety of Loire Valley wines.

We’ll return to Tours, arriving at the starting point after a total of four and a half hours.
