Hiking in Parque das Dunas

If you're in Tramandaí, don't miss this hiking trail through Parque das Dunas, where you'll encounter the stunning coastal landscape of Rio Grande do Sul.

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the central square of the Nova Tramandaí neighborhood. Once gathered, you will need to use your own vehicle to follow the guide to the starting point of the hiking trail through Parque das Dunas.

Upon arrival, we'll hike through the sandy landscapes that separate the ocean from the coastal lagoons. The hike covers 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) through Parque das Dunas, where we will explore the crescent moon shapes of the dunes and learn about their formation.

We'll climb to the summit of one of the dunes for a view of the Atlantic Ocean and the lakes with the Serra Gerais in the backdrop. This provides a great opportunity for photos.

Our exploration of the park will continue, with the possibility of encountering the tuco tuco, an endemic species. We will then head to the Fortaleza Lagoon, a popular spot for kitesurfing.

Finally, we will return to the starting point of the hiking trail and rejoin our vehicles for the return trip to Tramandaí, concluding our 4.5 hours of adventure.
