Hiking in Parque das Dunas

If you're in Tramandaí, don't miss this hiking trail through Parque das Dunas, where you'll encounter the stunning coastal landscape of Rio Grande do Sul.

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the central square of the Nova Tramandaí neighborhood. Once gathered, participants will need to use their own vehicles to follow the guide to the starting point of the hiking trail through Parque das Dunas.

Upon arrival, we'll hike through the sandy landscapes that separate the ocean from the coastal lagoons. The hike will cover 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) through Parque das Dunas, where we'll explore the unique crescent moon shapes of the dunes. We will also climb to the summit of one dune for a view of the Atlantic Ocean and the lakes with the Serra Gerais in the background.

We will continue our exploration of the park, and there is a chance to see the tuco tuco, an endemic species. Our final stop will be at the Fortaleza Lagoon, known for kitesurfing.

After the hike, we will return to the starting point and rejoin our vehicles for the journey back to Tramandaí, concluding our 4.5 hours of adventure.
