Hiking in Parque das Dunas

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the central square of the Nova Tramandaí neighborhood. Participants will need to use their own vehicles to follow the guide to the starting point of the hiking trail through Parque das Dunas.

Upon arrival, we'll hike through the sandy landscapes that separate the ocean from the coastal lagoons. During our 5-kilometer (3.1-mile) hike, we'll uncover the fascinating crescent moon shapes of the dunes and learn the reasons behind this phenomenon.

We'll climb to the summit of one of the dunes for a view of the Atlantic Ocean and the lakes with the Serra Gerais in the backdrop. This will provide an opportunity for photography.

Next, we'll continue our exploration of the park, with the possibility of encountering the tuco tuco, an endemic species. We will then proceed to the Fortaleza Lagoon, known for kitesurfing.

Finally, we'll return to the starting point of the hiking trail and rejoin our vehicles for the journey back to Tramandaí, concluding our 4.5 hours of adventure.
