Hiking in Parque das Dunas

If you're in Tramandaí, don't miss this hiking trail through Parque das Dunas, where you'll encounter the coastal landscape of Rio Grande do Sul.

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the central square of the Nova Tramandaí neighborhood. Participants will need to use their own vehicles to follow the guide to the starting point of the hiking trail through Parque das Dunas.

Upon arrival, we will hike through the sandy landscapes that separate the ocean from the coastal lagoons. The 5-kilometer (3.1-mile) hike will reveal the crescent moon shapes of the dunes. We will explore the reason behind this phenomenon together.

We will climb to the summit of one of the dunes, offering a privileged perspective of the Atlantic Ocean and the lakes with Serra Gerais visible in the distance, ideal for taking photos.

Next, we will continue exploring the park, with potential sightings of the tuco tuco, an endemic species. Finally, we will visit the Fortaleza Lagoon, a notable spot for kitesurfing enthusiasts.

We will then return to the starting point of the hiking trail and drive back to Tramandaí, concluding our 4.5 hours of adventure.
