Day Trip Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at Piazza Re Manfredi and depart Trani towards Castel del Monte by minibus. Upon arrival, we will commence a guided tour of the interior of this fortress, exploring its halls and towers and understanding its architectural details.
Castel del Monte is an octagonal fortress built by Frederick II, emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, in the 13th century. Its symbolism and architecture designate it as a jewel of medieval art, recognized as a World Heritage Site in 1996.
It is also one of the best-preserved castles in southern Italy, offering spectacular views of the Apulia region, perfect for photography. Following the visit, we will return to the meeting point in Trani, completing the trip in a total of 3 hours.
