At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at Piazza Re Manfredi and leave Trani to head towards Castel del Monte by minibus.

Once at our destination, we'll begin a guided tour of the interior of this bastion. We will explore its halls and towers and learn about its architectural details.

Castel del Monte is an octagonal fortress built by Frederick II, emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, in the 13th century. Its form, symbolism, and architecture make it a jewel of medieval art recognized as a World Heritage Site in 1996.

It is also one of the best-preserved castles in southern Italy. The views it offers of the Apulia region are spectacular.

After this visit, we'll return to the meeting point in Trani, where we'll arrive after a total of 3 hours.
