Stagnone Salt Pan Trip

We will meet in the center of Trapani at the scheduled time. From there, we will head to the Stagnone Lagoon, located half an hour from Trapani.

Our guide will explain the history of this region: the battles fought, its origins, and the significance of the salt trade.

We will then board a boat for a boat ride on the lagoon of the Stagnone nature reserve, sailing through scenic landscapes and visiting islands such as San Pantaleo, Lunga, Schola, and Santa Maria.

Afterward, we will visit the salt mines of Ettore Infersa, where we will observe salt mounds and a traditional mill. Here, we will learn about the salt extraction process and enjoy a tasting of local products: pistachios, almond creams, cheeses, chocolates, and local wines.

After completing our tour of the Stagnone salt pans, we will return to Trapani.
