Stagnone Salt Pan Trip

We will meet in the center of Trapani at the scheduled time and head to the Stagnone Lagoon, located half an hour from Trapani.

Our guide will explain the history of this region, including significant battles, its origins, and the salt trade's relevance.

We will then board a boat for a boat ride on the lagoon of the Stagnone nature reserve. The route includes scenic landscapes and islands such as San Pantaleo, Lunga, Schola, and Santa Maria.

Afterward, we will visit the salt mines of Ettore Infersa, where you can observe salt mounds and the traditional mill. You will learn about the salt extraction process and have a tasting of local products, including pistachios, almond creams, cheeses, chocolates, and local wines.

After completing our tour of the Stagnone salt pans, we will return to Trapani.
