Stagnone Salt Pan Adventure

We will gather at a predetermined location in the heart of Trapani. From this point, our excursion will take us to the beautiful Stagnone Lagoon, situated just half an hour away from Trapani.

During the journey, our guide will share the fascinating history of this unique area: the historical conflicts that unfolded here, its roots, and the significance of the salt industry in the region.

Next, we'll embark on a boat to experience the tranquil waters of the Stagnone nature reserve. As we navigate through this picturesque setting, you will witness stunning views of charming islands such as San Pantaleo, Lunga, Schola, and Santa Maria.

Following our boat adventure, we will visit the salt mines of Ettore Infersa. Here, you will be amazed by the impressive salt mounds and the traditional mill. We'll uncover the salt extraction process and indulge in a tasting session of delectable local specialties: including pistachios, almond pastes, cheeses, chocolates, and local wines!

After completing our exploration of the Stagnone salt pans, we will make our way back to Trapani.
