Stagnone Salt Pan Trip

We will meet in the center of Trapani at the scheduled time and head to the Stagnone Lagoon, located half an hour from Trapani.

Our guide will explain the history of this region: past battles, its origins, and the importance of the salt trade.

Next, we will board a boat for a ride on the lagoon of the Stagnone nature reserve. We will navigate through beautiful landscapes, visiting islands such as San Pantaleo, Lunga, Schola, and Santa Maria.

Afterward, we will visit the salt mines of Ettore Infersa. Here, you will see salt mounds and a traditional mill, learn about the salt extraction process, and enjoy a tasting of local products: pistachios, almond creams, cheeses, chocolates, and local wines.

After the tour of the Stagnone salt pans, we will return to Trapani.
