Stagnone Salt Pan Trip

We will meet in the center of Trapani at the scheduled time and proceed to the Stagnone Lagoon, approximately half an hour from Trapani.

Your guide will explain the history of this region, including its strategic battles, origins, and the significance of the salt trade.

Next, we will board a boat for a ride on the lagoon of the Stagnone nature reserve. Along the route, we will sail through landscapes featuring islands such as San Pantaleo, Lunga, Schola, and Santa Maria.

We will visit the salt mines of Ettore Infersa, where you will see salt mounds and a traditional mill. The process of obtaining salt will be explained, followed by a tasting of local products, including pistachios, almond creams, cheeses, chocolates, and local wines.

After our tour of the Stagnone salt pans, we will return to Trapani.
