Stagnone Salt Pan Trip

We will meet in the center of Trapani at the scheduled time. From there, we will head to the Stagnone Lagoon, only half an hour from Trapani.

Our guide will explain the history of this region: the battles that have occurred, its origins, and the significance of the salt trade.

We will then board a boat for a ride in the Stagnone nature reserve. The route includes views of islands such as San Pantaleo, Lunga, Schola, and Santa Maria.

Afterward, we will visit the salt mines of Ettore Infersa, where you will see the salt mounds and the traditional mill. We will learn about the salt extraction process and enjoy a tasting of local products, including pistachios, almond creams, cheeses, chocolates, and local wines.

After completing our tour of the Stagnone salt pans, we will return to Trapani.
