Why Visit the Paleontological Museum?
The Egidio Feruglio Paleontological Museum (MEF) is one of the main tourist attractions in Trelew, located in the Argentinean province of Chubut. The museum showcases many large dinosaur fossils discovered in the surrounding region, considered one of the best museums in South America.
With your ticket to the Paleontological Museum of Trelew, you will see the skeletons of colossal prehistoric animals, including the magnificent Tyranntitan Chubutensis from the middle of the Cretaceous period.
During your visit, you will learn about the dinosaurs of Patagonia, their feeding habits, survival techniques, and adaptations to climate changes. Interactive panels in the museum will answer questions about these creatures, enriching your knowledge of these prehistoric beings.
The museum's exhibits are organized chronologically into four stages: Cenozoic, Mesozoic, Paleozoic, and Precambrian eras, featuring fossils from various sub-periods. Within the Mesozoic space, pay attention to the rooms dedicated to the Cretaceous and Jurassic periods.
