Discover the fossils of giant dinosaurs at the Paleontological Museum of Trelew, one of the most fascinating museums in Argentina!
Why Visit the Paleontological Museum?
The Egidio Feruglio Paleontological Museum (MEF) is one of the main tourist attractions in Trelew, located in the Argentinean province of Chubut. Paleontologists have found many large dinosaur fossils in the area, most of which are exhibited in this museum, renowned as one of the best in South America.
Your ticket to the Paleontological Museum allows you to view the skeletons of colossal prehistoric animals, including the remarkable Tyrannotitan Chubutensis, which lived in the Cretaceous period.
During your visit, you will learn fascinating facts about the dinosaurs of Patagonia, including their dietary habits, survival strategies, and adaptations to climate changes. Interactive panels throughout the museum will address your questions about these creatures.
The museum's exhibitions are organized chronologically into four eras: Cenozoic, Mesozoic, Paleozoic, and Precambrian. In the Mesozoic section, the rooms dedicated to the Cretaceous and Jurassic periods showcase some of the most notable prehistoric beasts.

The MEF is open daily from 9 am to 7 pm, with final admission at 5:30 pm.
