Description

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Trieste or a central meeting point to start our trip to Postojna cave and Predjama castle. First, we will reach Postojna cave, a major tourist attraction and one of Europe's most famous karst monuments, featuring the world's only underground electric train.

At Postojna, we will see the proteus and navigate through the cave's tunnels and galleries, surrounded by stalactites and stalagmites. After exploring the cave, we will visit Predjama castle, a 13th-century fortress built on a rocky wall 123 meters (400 feet) high.

We will appreciate the architectural techniques from the Middle Ages and discuss the castle's historical significance, including its association with Erasmus de Lueg, who sought refuge there during conflicts. After five hours immersed in these Slovenian highlights, we conclude our day.
