PADI Open Water Diving Course

Before practical training to become a certified diver, you will complete the theory part to learn underwater techniques. You can choose to do the theory online or in person at the dive center.

Day 1: Confined water practice

On the first day, we will pick you up at your hotel in Trincomalee at 8:30 am and take you to the dive center. We will review the theoretical content of the course and then proceed to a confined water area for practical training, focusing on techniques such as putting on and taking off the equipment underwater, orientation, and buoyancy.

Days 2 and 3: Immersion in open water

On days two and three, you will test what you have learned through a total of four open water dives. After completing all exercises successfully, you will obtain the PADI Open Water Diver certificate.

Duration

The average duration of the course is three days. If you have more time and prefer in-person theory classes or require extra days to complete the exercises, the course can be extended to a maximum of five days.

Pick up

This activity includes collection from hotels in Trincomalee. If staying outside this area, you must travel to Ward No. 1, 9th Mile Post.

Important information

After your last dive, you should wait at least 24 hours before flying or ascending to high altitudes.
