PADI Open Water Diving Course

Prior to aquatic practice to become a certified diver, you must complete the theory part to learn underwater techniques.

When booking, you can select to complete the theory online or attend in person at the dive center.

Day 1: Confined water practice

On the first day, pickup from your hotel in Trincomalee is at 8:30 am to take you to the dive center.

After a brief review of the theoretical content, we will proceed to a confined water area for practical training, focusing on techniques such as putting on and taking off equipment underwater, orientation, and buoyancy.

Days 2 and 3: Immersion in open water

During the second and third days, there will be four open water dives to practice your new skills. Upon successfully completing all exercises, you will earn the PADI Open Water Diver certificate.

Duration

The average course duration is three days, but it can extend to a maximum of five days if you wish to attend in-person theory classes or require extra time for exercises.

Pick up

The activity includes pickup from hotels in Trincomalee. If staying outside this area, you must travel to Ward No. 1, 9th Mile Post.

Important information

After your last dive, you should wait at least 24 hours before flying or ascending to high altitudes.
