On 31 July, San Ignacio de Moxos celebrates the feast of its patron saint with an event known as the Ichapekene festival in honor of San Ignacio de Loyola.

Day 1

We will pick you up from your hotel in Trinidad at 6 am for a two-hour drive to San Ignacio de Moxos. After arriving, guests will check into the hotel and have breakfast. A walk through the town will follow, visiting the Missionary Church, Cabildo Indigenal, Museum of Moxos, and the School of Music to explore the history and traditions of the town blending Hispanic and indigenous cultures. Lunch is included at a local restaurant, followed by mass at the church in honor of St. Ignatius of Loyola. The procession will begin featuring the character Tintirintín and the Patron Saint accompanied by achos and chasqueros in their costumes.

Day 2

After breakfast, guests will hike to the Isirere lagoon. This area is rich in legend and allows for swimming and exploration. After the visit, we will return for lunch and head back to Trinidad, arriving at 5 pm.

3 day party

Optionally extend your stay for a third day to experience the Ichapekene festival further. After the Isirere lagoon visit and lunch, join the procession of Saint Ignatius of Loyola. The evening will be open for dining on your own. On the third day, breakfast will be provided before departing for Trinidad, with drop-off at your accommodation at 2 pm.
