Leave Trinidad and participate in a birdwatching activity in the Gran Mojos Park, exploring one of Bolivia's ecoregions and learning about the protection of endangered species.

Gran Mojos Birdwatching Activity

At 5 am, pickup from your hotel in Trinidad will commence, using a jeep to travel to the municipality of Loreto, located 25 miles (40 kilometres) away.

Upon arrival, we'll visit the Gran Mojos Protected Area Visitor Centre to learn about the endangered species and the Indigenous communities inhabiting the region.

After breakfast, we will proceed to a local hacienda to observe blue-throated macaws, which are endemic to the Moxos plains and have a wild population of only 250 individuals.

Next, lunch will consist of fish and fruit in Loreto prior to the return journey to Trinidad, where you will be dropped off at your hotel around 1 pm.

3-Day Tour

The 3-day tour option includes 2 days of exploring local wildlife. The first day mirrors the previous itinerary.

On the second day, pickup will again be at 5 am from your hotel, leading to another hacienda for observing multicoloured thrushes. Following lunch, we will return to Trinidad, birdwatching en route.

The final day starts at 5 am with a visit to the Ibare-Mamoré municipal protected area, featuring various bird and mammal species, including freshwater dolphins. You will be dropped off at your accommodation in Trinidad around 3 pm.
