Leave Trinidad behind and join us on our birdwatching activity in the Gran Mojos Park and visit one of Bolivia's ecoregions. You'll discover how endangered species of flora and fauna are protected here.
Gran Mojos Birdwatching Activity
At 5 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Trinidad and set off in our jeep towards the municipality of Loreto, located 25 miles (40 kilometers) away.
Upon arrival, we will visit the Gran Mojos Protected Area Visitor Centre to learn about the endangered species and Indigenous communities. Following this, we will have breakfast and proceed to a local hacienda to observe the blue-throated macaws, of which only 250 remain in the wild.
Afterwards, we will return to Loreto for lunch, featuring fish and fruit, before heading back to Trinidad, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel around 1 pm.
3-Day Tour
This option allows you to spend 2 days exploring the protected wildlife of the region. The first day follows the same itinerary as previously described.
On the second day, you will again be picked up at 5 am from your hotel in Trinidad. We will visit another hacienda to spot the multicoloured thrushes, followed by lunch before returning to Trinidad and looking for various bird species en route.
The third day also begins at 5 am with a pickup from your hotel. We will explore the Ibare-Mamoré municipal protected area, home to diverse birds and mammals, including freshwater dolphins. The tour concludes with a return to Trinidad at around 3 pm.
