Kenneth Lee Museum Tour
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Trinidad and head to the north of the city to explore the Kenneth Lee Ethno-Archaeological Museum.
This institution was named after the archaeologist Kenneth Lee, who studied the cultures of the Moxos plains. The building houses notable examples of Moxos culture.
Upon arrival, you'll notice the unique circular structure built from abundant regional materials such as jatata or cuchi wood, resembling a traditional Moxeño dwelling.
Inside the museum, we will explore the rich craftsmanship of this pre-Columbian civilization, also known as Moxeño or Mojos. The exhibits showcase Moxos culture's agricultural knowledge, traditions, festivities, and music.
The museum features models of the Moxos' hydraulic systems and domestic utensils. Additionally, we will see musical instruments, clothing, and carved masks of divinities, providing insight into the rites and traditions of the Indigenous people of the Moxos region.
It will then be time to return to your hotel, where we'll arrive 1 hour after pickup.
