The tour starts at 8 am with a trip to Puerto Ballivián, the entrance to the Ibare-Mamoré Municipal Protected Area. After a 2.5-hour boat ride on the Ibare River, we will explore Loma Suarez and San Carlos. A walking tour through tropical crops will highlight local fauna including cocoi herons and yellow-spotted river turtles. The excursion concludes with the opportunity to see and swim with pink river dolphins before returning to your hotel by 4 pm.
Jesuit Missions of Moxos + Coitarama Lagoon
Picking up at 6 am, we will visit the Jesuit missions in San Javier and San Pedro. After a historical tour, you will have time for lunch on your own. Following lunch, we will explore the Coitarama Lagoon or, if inaccessible, the banks of the Ipuru River to observe local wildlife. The tour ends around 6 pm with a return to your hotel.
San Ignacio de Moxos Excursion
This excursion begins at 6 am, heading to San Ignacio de Moxos. We'll visit the Museum of Moxos and the Musical Archive of Moxos, then take free time for lunch. The afternoon includes visits to a luthier's workshop and the School of Music, culminating with hotel drop-off in the late afternoon.
