We will pick you up at your hotel in the morning and travel to Brujo, notable for pyramids reflecting the Mochica view of the cosmos, located 40 miles north in Magdalena de Cao. A brief stop will be made before continuing through sugar cane fields to the Mochica huacas: Cao, Partida, and Prieta. Visitors will observe remarkable constructions and the polychrome relief paintings depicting ancient customs.

Following a short break, we will visit the Cao Museum, housing the remains of the former Mochica governess of Cao. Her efforts in challenging male dominance in this ancient culture will be discussed. The mummy of the lady of Cao retains well-preserved tattoos of snakes and spiders on her hands and ankles.

The museum features remarkable ceramic artifacts showcasing wildlife, along with items related to hunting, textiles, and baskets. Additionally, there is a room dedicated to human sacrifice rituals, displaying representations of prisoners and battles.

The tour concludes with a return to your hotel in Trujillo.
