Cascas Excursion
We will meet in the Plaza de Armas at 6:40 am and depart for Cascas, a 2-hour 30-minute drive from Trujillo, with a stop in Sausal for breakfast.
Cascas is known as the capital of grapes and wine and is recognized as the first wine-producing city in Peru, playing a significant role in promoting Peruvian specialties internationally. The city benefits from an ideal climate for grape growing.
During the tour, we will visit the Cristo de las Rocas, a natural monument resembling the face of Jesus Christ, and the Tree of a Thousand Roots, known for its exposed roots. We will also explore El Molino Waterfall and the Corlas fish farm, where you will have free time for lunch.
We will continue to Cascas Square and then visit one of the renowned vineyards, where you will learn about the significance of winegrowing in the region and have the opportunity to taste some wines from Cascas.
Following the vineyard visit, we will return to Trujillo, arriving back at approximately 8 pm.
