Marinera Show with Peruvian Paso Horses

At 2 pm, we will meet in the Plaza de Armas in Trujillo and set off for the Casa Campo Alcor, an institute dedicated to raising and caring for Peruvian horses.

Peruvian Paso horses are known for their unique llano step, which involves walking sideways. We will see a show featuring these horses and their riders, known as chalanes, showcasing their trot.

This folkloric dance has been declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Nation. The marinera dance with Peruvian Paso horses is a major tourist attraction in Trujillo. The dance is performed in pairs, accompanied by music, as dancers and riders in typical costumes display their elegance.

After the show, which lasts between 30 and 45 minutes, we will return to Trujillo, concluding our activity at 4 pm back at the starting point.
