Trujillo Guided Tour
We'll meet at the indicated time at 467 Jiron Orbegoso Street to begin a complete guided tour of Trujillo. The tour starts at the Plaza de Armas, the town's oldest and most representative public space, rich in history. We will learn about its foundation and admire the monument to Liberty with four accompanying sculptures representing art, science, commerce, and health.
Next, we will visit the Cathedral of Trujillo, built in the 17th century after an earthquake destroyed the previous structure. Our tour continues to the church of La Merced in the historic center, followed by the Emancipation House, where we will discuss how Trujillo gained independence seven months before Lima.
We will conclude at the Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology and History of the Universidad Nacional de Trujillo to view a collection of artifacts highlighting the city's past. The tour will end approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes after meeting.
Closures of the Museum
