Trujillo Guided Tour
We'll meet at 467 Jiron Orbegoso Street to begin a guided tour of Trujillo. Our first stop will be the Plaza de Armas, the oldest public space in the town. Here, we'll explore the history of its foundation, admire the monument to Liberty, and the accompanying sculptures representing art, science, commerce, and health. Following this, we will visit the Cathedral of Trujillo, dating back to the 17th century.
Next, we will proceed to the church of La Merced in the historic center and then to the Emancipation House, where we will learn about Trujillo's independence, claimed seven months prior to Lima's. Lastly, we will visit the Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology and History of the Universidad Nacional de Trujillo, showcasing a collection of items reflecting the city's past.
We will return to the starting point approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes after our initial meeting.
Closures of the Museum
