Chococacao Maya + Cenote Tour

By reserving your ticket for this tour to Chococacao Maya and the Kaab Ha cenote, you will participate in activities related to Mayan culture, including a cacao workshop and a honey soap making course.

Itinerary

You will be collected from your hotel in Tulum and taken to Chococacao Maya, located 2km from the Coba archaeological site. Upon arrival, a shaman will bless you and guide you through the exhibition detailing the area's history, including an original sacbe, an ancient road connecting to Chichen Itza.

You will engage in a cacao workshop for 20 minutes, learning about the Mayan's culinary practices and the history of cacao, historically used as currency. Following this, you will visit a honey sanctuary to learn about stingless bees and take part in a soap-making workshop using natural honey.

Afterward, you will have lunch at a restaurant where you will enjoy a local dish featuring chocolate and honey, served with chicken thighs and white rice. You will then head to the Kaab Ha cenote for relaxation in a natural setting. The tour concludes after 3.5 hours, returning you to your accommodation.

Pickup will occur from your hotel in Tulum or the Aki Tulum supermarket.
