Chococacao Maya + Cenote Tour

By reserving your ticket for this tour to Chococacao Maya and the Kaab Ha cenote, you will explore the town and engage in various Mayan cultural activities, including a cacao workshop and a honey soap-making course.

Itinerary

At the scheduled time, you will be collected from your hotel in Tulum and taken to Chococacao Maya, located 2km from the Coba archaeological site. Upon arrival, a shaman will bless you and explain the significance of Chococacao Maya. You will tour the exhibition and learn about historical relaxation and purification practices, including viewing an original sacbe, an ancient road connecting to Chichen Itza.

Next, you will participate in a cacao workshop, where you will learn about Mayan culinary practices and create exotic chocolate. You will also discover the historical use of cacao as currency. Following this, a visit to the honey sanctuary will include a workshop on natural honey soap making.

Afterwards, you'll enjoy a local dish featuring chicken thighs, complemented by white rice. Post-lunch, you will head to the Kaab Ha cenote for relaxation amidst the jungle. The tour concludes after 3.5 hours, returning you to your accommodation.
