Chococacao Maya + Cenote Tour

Itinerary

You will be collected from your hotel in Tulum and taken to Chococacao Maya, located 2km from the Coba archaeological site. A shaman will bless you upon arrival and explain the significance of the area, including a tour of the exhibition that highlights the land's historical use as an area for relaxation and purification. You’ll see an original sacbe, a pathway linking this community to Chichen Itza.

Next, you'll participate in a cacao workshop, learning about Mayan culinary practices and creating exotic chocolate. You'll also explore the history of cacao, historically used as currency.

You will then learn about stingless bees at the honey sanctuary and take part in a workshop to make soap from natural honey. After, enjoy a local dish combining chocolate and honey with chicken thighs and a side of white rice at a restaurant.

Your tour will conclude with a visit to the Kaab Ha cenote, a natural well in the jungle for relaxation. The entire experience lasts approximately 3.5 hours before returning to your accommodation.
