5-Day Package Tour of Tunisia

Day 1: Arrival in Tunis - Transfer to Hammamet

Welcome to Tunis! Upon your arrival at the airport, we will begin our southward journey towards our first stop.

After a scenic 1-hour drive, we will reach our lodging in the beautiful coastal town of Hammamet. You will have the rest of the day at your leisure to relax or explore the area at your own pace.

Day 2: Hammamet - El Djem - Matmata - Douz

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel in Hammamet, our adventure continues as we make our way to El Djem, home to Africa's most well-preserved Roman amphitheater. This stunning "small Colosseum", recognized as a World Heritage Site, promises to leave you in awe.

Next, we will venture to the troglodyte homes of Matmata. Constructed by the Berber people, these impressive dwellings carve into the rocky terrain, providing shelter from the harsh desert winds. You will have the opportunity to tour one of these unique cave homes, followed by a delightful lunch at a troglodyte restaurant.

Post-lunch, we will proceed to Douz. Here, subject to weather and availability, you can opt for an exhilarating desert tour on a camel or rickshaw.

We will end our day with dinner and an overnight stay at a comfortable hotel in Douz.

Day 3: Douz - Debebcha - Chott el Djerid - Ong Jemel - Tozeur

After breakfast in Douz, we will travel to Debebcha to admire its magnificent sandstone landscapes, followed by a visit to the famous Chott el Djerid salt lake.

After exploring this striking lake, we will return to Tozeur for lunch, which will be served either at the hotel or a local eatery. Following our meal, we will continue to Oung Jmel where film enthusiasts can recognize the spectacular settings that served as backdrops for Star Wars and The English Patient.

The day concludes with an overnight stay at a hotel in Tozeur, where dinner will also be available for those who wish to dine.

Day 4: Tozeur - Kairouan - Return to Hammamet

After breakfast at your hotel in Tozeur, we will set off northward towards the enchanting mountain oases of Chebika and Tamerza. You’ll be mesmerized by the breathtaking orchards flourishing amidst the arid landscape.

Once we’ve soaked in the scenery, we'll head to Gafsa for a restaurant lunch. From there, we travel to Kairouan, recognized as the fourth-holiest city in Islam. During our visit, you’ll admire the exterior of the majestic Great Mosque, and those interested may visit a local tapestry workshop.

Finally, we will return to our original hotel in Hammamet for the night.

Day 5: Departure from Hammamet - Return to Tunis

On the final day of our Tunisian adventure, breakfast will be served at the hotel in Hammamet before an early pick-up to transfer you to the Tunis airport. Wishing you a safe flight home!
