Dougga & Bulla Regia Tour Itinerary

Pickup from your hotel in Tunis is at 8 am. You will board an air-conditioned vehicle for your excursion to the archaeological sites of Dougga and Bulla Regia.

After approximately two hours of driving, the first stop is Bulla Regia, a significant Roman archaeological site. A guided tour will provide insights into the origins and history of the ancient Punic, Berber, and Roman settlement, highlighting well-preserved ruins, including colorful mosaic floors.

The next destination is Dougga, located a little over an hour away. Upon arrival, enjoy a break with lunch at a traditional restaurant to prepare for the rest of the tour.

After lunch, visit Dougga's Roman theatre, built in the 2nd century CE, which could accommodate over a third of the town's population at that time.

Your English-speaking guide will lead you through the ruins of Dougga, often regarded as the best-preserved Roman town in North Africa. Explore the Square of the Rose of the Winds, the market, the capitol temple, the forum, and the baths. The condition of the structures and your guide's explanations will provide a glimpse into Tunisia under the Roman Empire.

After a full day of sightseeing, return to Tunis, expected to arrive at your hotel by around 4 pm.
