Immerse yourself in the historic and cultural legacy of the Roman Empire in Tunisia and explore millennia-old monuments on this guided tour of the ancient towns of Dougga and Bulla Regia.

Dougga & Bulla Regia Tour Itinerary

Your tour begins with a pickup from your hotel in Tunis at 8 am. You will travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle towards the archaeological sites of Dougga and Bulla Regia.

After approximately a two-hour drive, the first stop will be Bulla Regia, one of Tunisia's significant Roman archaeological sites. A guided tour will provide insights into the history of the ancient Punic, Berber, and Roman settlement, highlighting some of its best-preserved ruins, including colorful mosaic floors.

Next, you will proceed to Dougga, located just over an hour away. Here, you will enjoy lunch at a traditional restaurant before continuing the tour.

You will visit Dougga's Roman theatre, built in the 2nd century CE, capable of seating more than a third of the town's population at that time. Your English-speaking guide will lead you through the ruins, showcasing the Square of the Rose of the Winds, the market, the capitol temple, the forum, and the baths. The excellent structure condition and the guide's explanations will reflect the Roman Empire era.

After a full day of exploration, the return journey to Tunis will commence, with an expected hotel drop-off around 4 pm.
