Tunisia 8-Day Private Tour

Description

Day 1: Tunis

Upon arrival at the Tunis-Carthage International Airport, you will be transferred to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in the city near the Medina of Tunis.

Day 2: Tunis - Carthage - Sidi Bou Said - Sousse

Breakfast will be followed by a visit to the archaeological site of Carthage. You will have lunch independently in a local restaurant before visiting Sidi Bou Said. The day concludes with dinner and overnight at the hotel in Tunis.

Day 3: Tunis - Dougga - Zaghouan - Sousse

After breakfast, you will explore the ruins of Dougga, followed by a lunch break. The day involves a visit to Zaghouan to see the Temple of the Waters, with dinner and overnight stay in Sousse.

Day 4: Sousse - El Djem - Matmata - Douz

Breakfast in Sousse precedes a visit to El Djem for the Archaeological Museum and the amphitheater. You will visit Matmata before heading to Douz for an off-roading vehicle ride in the Sahara, with dinner and overnight stay in Douz.

Day 5: Douz - Debebcha - Chott el Djerid - Ong Jemel - Tozeur

After breakfast, you will visit Debebcha and then the Chott el Jerid salt lake before lunch. A visit to Ong Jemel hill will follow, ending with accommodation in Tozeur, where a dinner show at the oasis is optional.

Day 6: Tozeur - Kairouan - Sousse

Following breakfast, you will visit the mountain oases of Chebika and Tamerza, with lunch at a local restaurant. After arriving in Kairouan, there will be a tour of the Great Mosque and local handicrafts, prior to returning to Sousse for dinner and rest.

Day 7: Sousse

The day is free for independent exploration of Sousse, known for its Medina and Arab bazaars. Dinner will be at a hotel in Sousse in the evening.

Day 8: Sousse - Tunis

On the last day, you will be transferred to Tunis-Carthage Airport for your flight.

Itinerary Adjustments

As of September 21, 2025, the following changes will occur:

Day 2: A walk through the Medina’s souks will replace earlier activities.Day 3: The village of Testour will be added to the itinerary.Day 4: No visit to the Archaeological Museum or Sahara 4x4 ride.Day 5: A 4x4 ride in the mountain oasis will occur in the afternoon, without dinner at Tozeur's oasis.Day 6: After visiting the Great Mosque, the mausoleum of the Barber will be added, but Chebika and Tamerza won’t be included.
