Discover the House of Savoy's main residence with this guided tour around the Royal Palace of Turin. You'll be left in awe of this 16th Century impressive royal building.

Royal Palace of Turin Tour

At 1:30 pm we'll meet at the Piazzetta Reale at the main entrance of Turin's Royal Palace to start our tour.

Don't be fooled by its facade; the simplicity of the exterior contrasts with the rich history and interiors that justify its status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Royal Palace of Turin was the main residence of the House of Savoy, which established Turin as the first capital of modern Italy. As we explore the halls, the guide will provide insights into the family's historical significance.

A highlight of the palace is the remarkable armoury, the second most important in Europe. The guide will present significant items and their historical context. We will tour various areas of the Baroque-style palace, including the main hall, adorned with gold and gemstones, and the chandelier lounge.

We'll also visit the Chapel of the Holy Shroud, originally built to house the Shroud of Turin, which is no longer displayed there due to a great fire.

The tour will conclude at 3 pm in front of the Royal Palace of Turin.
