At the selected time, we'll meet at Via Accademia delle Scienze and head to the Museo Egizio to begin this guided tour.
The Museo Egizio in Turin is the oldest Egyptian museum in the world, founded almost 100 years earlier than Cairo's. Jean-François Champollion noted, "The road to Memphis and Thebes passes through Turin."
As we explore different rooms of the museum, you'll experience ancient Egypt. We'll see sarcophagi, mummies, canopic jars, and more from this civilization. The museum also features an area dedicated to papyrus and hieroglyphics.
One highlight will be the Temple of Ellesiya, built during the reign of Pharaoh Thutmose III. The guide will provide details about it and other artifacts.
The tour will conclude outside the Egyptian Museum after two hours of exploration.
