Tour Details
We will meet at Mirador de El Salvador to start the tour of Úbeda, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. We will first walk along the Paseo de la Rotonda de los Miradores to a lookout point to view the Valle del Guadalquivir. Our route also includes the historic Hospital de los Honrados Viejos del Salvador.
Our next stop is the Plaza de Vázquez de Molina, where we will visit the Palacio del Deán Ortega and the Sacra Capilla del Salvador, entering the chapel to view its interior and learn about local culture and legends.
Continuing, we will see the Palacio de Francisco de los Cobos, significant to the 16th-century Secretary of State. This site reflects his influence on the city's architecture. We will then visit the Gradeta de Santo Tomás, home to the ruins of Saint Thomas the Apostle and the Jewish Houses, followed by the Convento de San Miguel, associated with the Discalced Carmelites.
We will stop at Plaza Primer de Mayo, an important historic market square before returning along Calle Real to conclude our 2.5-hour tour at Plaza de Vázquez de Molina.
