Tour Details
Úbeda is known for its rich history and stunning monuments, but it's also a city of eerie legends and ghostly tales. At the designated time, we'll meet at the Gate of Granada, where, according to legend, there's a hidden treasure. The tour will cover the legend of the juancaballos, half-man, half-horse creatures that appear at night, along with other mysteries in Úbeda.
We'll first reach the Plaza de San Lorenzo, where we will see the 16th-century Casa de las Torres (Palacio de los Dávalos), which contained the body of a woman found buried within its walls.
Next, we will visit the Casa de Luna y Sol, adorned with coats of arms representing the sun and moon, which is linked to a mysterious historical figure. Afterward, we'll admire the majestic Vázquez de Molina Square, home to the Basílica y Real Colegiata de Santa María la Mayor de los Reales Alcázares de Úbeda and the Holy Chapel of the Savior, noted for its beautiful stone facade.
We will then go to the Plaza de San Pablo, featuring the Church of San Pablo, where we'll discuss the festivity known as La Pastora, which was discontinued due to a violent event. Finally, we’ll stroll through the city’s narrow streets, learning about Hernán Crespo and concluding our 2-hour tour at the Palacio de los Condes de Guadiana, where we will reveal a lingering mystery.
