Tour Details
Úbeda is known for its rich history and eerie legends. At the designated time, we will meet at the Gate of Granada, associated with hidden treasures and the legend of the juancaballos, half-man, half-horse creatures. Our first stop will be the Plaza de San Lorenzo, featuring the 16th-century Casa de las Torres, or the Palacio de los Dávalos, where a woman's body was found during renovations. We will investigate the circumstances surrounding her death.
Next, we will visit the Casa de Luna y Sol, with its unique dual coats of arms. We will learn about the historical figure associated with this residence. Then, we will head to Vázquez de Molina Square, home to the Basílica y Real Colegiata de Santa María la Mayor de los Reales Alcázares de Úbeda, where it is said an elf wanders, and the Holy Chapel of the Savior, noted for its beautiful stone facade.
We will also explore Plaza de San Pablo and the Church of San Pablo, discussing the now-void festivity of La Pastora. Finally, we will follow the city's narrow streets, learning about Hernán Crespo, a notable resident, before concluding at the Palacio de los Condes de Guadiana, completing our 2-hour tour.
