Day 1: Ulaanbaatar - Semi Gobi Desert - Karakorum

At 8 am on the first day of the tour, pickup from your hotel in Ulaanbaatar marks the beginning of your adventure into central Mongolia. The first stop will be in the Semi Gobi Desert, where you'll meet a local nomadic family who will share insights into their traditional lifestyle. Participate in milking and feeding their livestock, including camels, horses, goats, and sheep. Enjoy a camel ride over the Elsen Tasarkhai sand dune, taking in the surrounding mountainous views.

After a lunch break, the journey continues to Kharkhorin, the city that once served as the ancient capital of the Mongolian Empire, Karakorum. You'll check in at a traditional ger camp for the night, where a traditional Mongolian dinner will be served, concluding an unforgettable day.

Day 2: Erdene Zuu Monastery - Ugii Lake

Following a hearty breakfast, delve into the history of the former Mongolian capital by visiting the National History Museum of 13th Century Mongolia and the 16th-century Erdene Zuu Monastery, one of Mongolia’s oldest Buddhist temples. A short hiking trail will offer a panoramic view of the city and the Orkhon Valley, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Next, head to Ogii Nur, stopping for lunch along the way. Here, you can ride a horse alongside the beautiful lake (in winter, ice fishing will be the alternative). After enjoying your time at Ogii Lake, return to the ger camp for dinner and a restful night.

Day 3: Khustai National Park - Ulaanbaatar

On the final day, breakfast precedes a guided tour of Karakorum, highlighting its ancient significance. Next, travel to Khustai National Park, home to the wild Prezewalski horses. Learn more about these remarkable animals while enjoying lunch in the park. The journey back to Ulaanbaatar will conclude your adventure, with drop-off at your hotel between 3 pm and 4 pm.
