Pachamanca Demonstration & Tasting
The term pachamanca comes from the Quechua language, meaning 'earth pot.' This traditional Peruvian dish will be cooked in this demonstration.
We'll meet at the Tunupa Sacred Valley restaurant in Urubamba at 12 pm, where experts will show us how to prepare an authentic Peruvian pachamanca. The main ingredients include tubers and meat, along with a variety of sauces and spices made with local products.
All elements will be placed into a pot and cooked in the traditional style on heated stones. While it cooks, a refreshing pisco sour will be offered to enhance the experience.
Once the stew is ready, we'll taste it, accompanied by salads, sharing the pot of pachamanca in accordance with this ancestral rite of the Andean world.
The activity will conclude at 2 pm.
