Pachamanca Demonstration & Tasting
The term pachamanca comes from the Quechua language, meaning 'earth pot.' This traditional Peruvian dish is cooked in a unique way.
We'll meet at the Tunupa Sacred Valley restaurant in Urubamba at 12 pm, where experts will demonstrate how to prepare an authentic Peruvian pachamanca. The main ingredients include tubers and meat, enhanced with local sauces and spices.
All elements will be placed into a pot and cooked in the traditional style on heated stones. During cooking, participants will be offered a refreshing pisco sour.
Once the stew is ready, participants will taste it alongside salads, sharing the pot of pachamanca and following this ancestral rite of the Andean world.
The activity will conclude at 2 pm.
