Beagle Channel Cruise & Sea Lion Island
After meeting at Ushuaia tourist pier, we'll set sail towards the islands of the Beagle Channel, the narrow waterway in Tierra del Fuego that serves as the natural border between Argentina and Chile.
Our cruise will first take us to Isla de los Pájaros (Bird Island), where various bird species can be observed, including seagulls and albatrosses. The trip will continue to Isla de los Lobos (Sea Lion Island), where you can photograph the sea lion colony.
Next, we'll visit the islet housing the Les Éclaireurs Lighthouse, home to a large cormorant colony. You'll also learn about the shipwreck of the SS Monte Cervantes, which occurred in the 1930s.
Our tour will then proceed to Puerto Karelo, where we'll disembark for a brief 20-minute guided tour, allowing you to photograph the local wildlife. After the walking tour, we'll return to the boat for the journey back, arriving after our 2.5-hour tour.
