Embark on an unforgettable journey through the stunning landscapes of the Tierra del Fuego region. This hiking adventure leads you to one of the area's most breathtaking sites: the Laguna Esmeralda.
Hike to Laguna Esmeralda
We'll begin by picking you up from your accommodations in Ushuaia before heading towards the picturesque valleys within Tierra del Fuego.
After a brief 20-minute drive, we'll arrive at the trailhead to commence our hike. The path will lead us through two remarkable glacially-formed valleys: the Tierra Mayor Valley and the Esmeralda River Valley.
As we trek for two hours, you'll be surrounded by forests that reflect the beauty of nature's elements, including trees and glaciers. By midday, we'll reach the renowned Esmeralda Lagoon, where the emerald water truly lives up to its name. In this enchanting setting, we’ll take a break to enjoy a picnic featuring fruit, alfajores, empanadas, and of course, a comforting cup of tea.
Rejuvenated from our meal, we’ll retrace our steps back to the starting point, and shortly after two hours, we’ll be on the bus returning to Ushuaia. Expect to arrive at your hotel around 2:30 pm, allowing you time to unwind after this fulfilling experience.
