Details of the Day Trip
At the specified meeting point, we will set sail from the Ushuaia tourist dock, embarking on a tranquil cruise through the Beagle Channel. The first segment of our adventure will take us into the pristine waters of Paso Chico.
As we navigate this beautiful channel, we’ll glide alongside Bird Island, where a variety of avian species await, including skuas, black-browed albatrosses, steamer ducks, geese, kelp gulls, and gray gulls.
Proceeding towards the Isla de los Lobos, or 'Wolf Island', we’ll encounter a lively community of one- and two-furred sea lions, and catch a glimpse of the Les Éclaireurs Lighthouse. Our journey will then lead us to the renowned Martillo Island, where a fascinating penguin colony resides. This location is celebrated as one of the most prominent habitats for Magellanic penguins globally, along with the opportunity to spot Gentoo penguins.
On our return voyage, we'll pass by notable historical sites, including the Túnel and Remolino ranches and the partially submerged wreck of the Monte Sarmiento ship.
After enjoying the vibrant penguin colony on Martillo Island, we will make our way back to the tourist dock in Ushuaia, concluding our 4.5-hour experience.
