Sunset Trip to Escondido & Fagnano Lakes

Explore Tierra del Fuego in an off-roading vehicle. Get ready to visit the impressive Escondido and Fagnano glacial lakes during sunset!

Trip Details

After hotel pickup in Ushuaia, we will use an off-roading vehicle to traverse the Andean landscapes of Tierra del Fuego. We will pass through the industrial zone, learning historical facts as we approach the River Olivia and the mountain of the same name.

Next, we will stop at the Carbajal Valley viewpoint to enjoy scenic views of distant glaciers during sunset, then take Ruta Nacional 3 to the Haruwen Winter Resort and its Museum of Motorbikes.

Following this, we will visit the Paso Garibaldi viewpoint to admire Escondido Lake with a snack. Afterward, we will start an off-roading adventure, navigating a winding road through the forest, passing the Los Álamos and La Carmen estates until we reach Fagnano Lake, where you will have free time along the coastline.

We will then visit a traditional beaver den to observe how beavers build dams. Our next stop is the restaurant El Rancho, where we will have a 3-course dinner including empanadas, patties, a vegetable side dish, and dessert, with a drink of choice.

Finally, we will return to your hotel after a total of 6 to 7 hours.
