Utrecht Bike Tour

We'll start our bike tour of Utrecht by meeting at 11 am at the statue of Count Jan Van Nassau, located at Domplein. On this square, we'll see the exterior of St. Martin's Cathedral, a main Gothic monument.

Opposite the cathedral is the Dom tower, the tallest bell tower in the Netherlands at 112 metres. After admiring it from the Domplein, we'll explore the most unique corners of Utrecht, including the oldest cycle path and the home of the first female university student in the country.

We'll continue our tour along the docks and canals of Utrecht, passing a shop known for one of the best vanilla ice creams in the world. A 20-minute stop will be made halfway through the tour for drinks in a local shop in the old town.

The tour will also discuss the significance of the famous Treaty of Utrecht for Spain and introduce one of the most notable local figures, Hadrian VI, the first and only Dutch pope.

The tour concludes by walking through the historic centre of Utrecht back to the starting point, arriving at 1.30 pm.
