Discover the great monumental heritage of Utrecht with this bike tour, a popular transport mode in the Netherlands.
Utrecht Bike Tour
The bike tour begins at 11 am at the statue of Count Jan Van Nassau, located at Domplein. Here, we will observe the exterior architecture of St. Martin's Cathedral, a key Gothic monument in the city.
Adjacent to the cathedral is the Dom tower, the tallest bell tower in the Netherlands at 112 meters. From Domplein square, we will explore some of the most unique corners of Utrecht, including the oldest cycle path in the Netherlands and the residence of the country's first female university student.
Continuing along the docks and canals, we will pass a shop known for selling one of the best vanilla ice creams in the world. A break of 20 minutes will be included midway through the tour at a local shop in the old town for refreshments.
The tour will also discuss the significance of the Treaty of Utrecht for Spain and shed light on Hadrian VI, the first and only Dutch pope in history.
We will conclude the tour by walking through the historic center of Utrecht, returning to the starting point by 1:30 pm.
