Uyuni Salt Flat & Tunupa Volcano 3 Day Tour

On this 2-day tour, we'll explore the Uyuni salt flat, the largest salt desert in the world, view a sunset, see the Tunupa volcano, and visit Andean villages.

Description

Day 1

We will pick you up from Uyuni Airport at the specified time and head to the salt flat, stopping at the Train Cemetery to see abandoned locomotives. We will visit Colchani village, explore the local market, and a salt processing plant run by artisans. At the Uyuni salt flat, we will walk through its stunning features, including salt piles and monuments such as the Dakar Rally tribute, and enjoy a picnic lunch in the salt flat.

After lunch, we'll hike to the peak of Incahuasi Island, known for its giant cacti, for a panoramic view of the salt flat. We will end the day at our hotel and return to witness a sunset reflecting on the salt flat.

Day 2

We will wake up at dawn and have breakfast before traveling to Coqueza, situated at the base of the Tunupa volcano. Here, we will enjoy the scenery and learn about the area’s Andean origins. We will then drive or hike to the base of the volcano for views of the Uyuni salt flat and return to the hotel, stopping to appreciate the natural beauty along the way.

Day 3

After breakfast, we will prepare for our journey back. We will return to the airport to conclude this adventure.
