Uyuni Salt Flat & Tunupa Volcano 3 Day Tour

On this 2-day tour, we'll admire the Uyuni salt flat, the largest salt desert in the world. Enjoy a sunset, see the Tunupa volcano and visit several Andean villages.

Description

Day 1

Having picked you up from Uyuni Airport, we'll set off towards the Uyuni salt flat. There will be a stop at the Train Cemetery, home to abandoned locomotives. Next, we will visit the village of Colchani, including the local market and a salt processing plant. We'll then enjoy a walk through the Uyuni salt flat, see salt piles, water holes, and monuments including one for the Dakar Rally, as well as visiting the world's first salt hotel and having a picnic lunch on the salt flat.

After lunch, we will hike up Incahuasi Island, renowned for its giant cacti, to admire panoramic views. In the evening, we will settle into the hotel, then head out to watch the sunset reflected on the Uyuni salt flat.

Day 2

We will start the day with breakfast before heading to Coqueza, situated on Tunupa volcano’s slopes. We will explore the area before entering our vehicle for panoramic views of the Uyuni salt flat, with an option to hike up the volcano if preferred. Post-exploration, we will return to the hotel, stopping along the way to appreciate the natural beauty.

Day 3

After breakfast, we will prepare for our return journey. We will travel back to the airport, concluding this adventure.
