Uyuni Salt Flat & Tunupa Volcano 3 Day Tour

On this 2-day tour, we'll admire the striking natural beauty of the Uyuni salt flat, the largest salt desert in the world. Enjoy a magical sunset, see the Tunupa volcano and visit several Andean villages.

Description

Day 1

We will pick you up from Uyuni Airport at the specified time and head towards the world's largest salt flat. A stop will be made at the Train Cemetery, featuring abandoned 20th-century locomotives. Next, we will arrive at the picturesque village of Colchani to visit the local market and the salt processing plant. Afterwards, we will explore the Uyuni salt flat, known for holding 60% of the world's lithium reserve, followed by a picnic lunch there. We will visit Incahuasi Island to hike and enjoy panoramic views of the salt flat, concluding with a sunset experience on the salt flat.

Day 2

We will wake up at dawn, have a delicious breakfast, and set off for Coqueza, a town on the slopes of Tunupa volcano. Here, we will explore the scenery and learn about the Andean origin of the town's name. Afterward, we will travel to the base of the volcano for excellent views of the Uyuni salt flat, with an option to hike instead. We will return to the hotel with stops to enjoy Bolivia's natural beauty.

Day 3

After breakfast, we'll prepare for our return journey. We will travel back to the starting point and conclude the adventure at the airport.
