Pottuvil Lagoon Mangroves Private Boat Trip

On this private boat trip through the mangroves of Pottuvil, you'll sail through the vegetation of Arugam Bay and see elephants and crocodiles in their natural habitat.

Tour Description

We'll pick you up at the indicated time from your hotel in Arugam Bay and head by tuk-tuk to Pottuvil, a town located in the district of Ampara with a lagoon surrounded by almost 200 acres of mangrove forest.

After a short 10-minute safety briefing, you'll embark on a 2-hour safari boat ride on the Pottuvil Lagoon. During the ride, the guide will share interesting facts about the flora and fauna of this coastal area of Sri Lanka.

Throughout the trip, you'll observe various species in the lagoon, including crabs, shrimps, and a variety of birds. You'll also witness elephants bathing and crocodiles swimming through the mangroves, creating memorable sights.

After finishing the tour, we'll return by tuk-tuk to drop you off at your hotel, completing a 3-hour tour.
