Cares River Solo Kayak Trip
The Cares River, with a total length of 54 kilometers (33 miles), is one of the most crystalline freshwater streams in Asturias. If you want to explore the lush green landscapes in a different way, this solo descent of the Cares River is ideal.
Departing from Niserias, you have ample time to complete the 22-kilometer (13-mile) route. The steady current of the river makes it easy to reach the final destination - just relax and navigate!
If you need a break, there are various spots along the route where you can stop for a bite, something to drink, or simply rest and enjoy the surroundings.
The route ends at the mouth of the Deva River in the Cantabrian town of Unquera, where a minibus will be waiting to return you to the meeting point in Pesués.
