Upon reservation, you may select from two distinct options. Both commence at the designated time from Casa Río Vivo and come equipped with all necessary kayaking gear, a snack, and a guide fluent in English. Explore the specifics of each choice below:

4 Hour Tour

If you find yourself in the Los Ríos region and are eager to kayak, the Valdivia River offers an ideal setting. This 5 km (3 mile) journey unfolds along tranquil waters, making it an excellent choice for a peaceful kayaking experience.

Surrounded by serene nature, you'll have the chance to appreciate the picturesque rural landscape of Valdivia, including remnants from the 1960 earthquake.

As we glide through the water, we'll traverse wetlands while immersing ourselves in this natural wonder. A brief pause will allow us to enjoy a snack and soak in the stunning surroundings.

Following our time on the river, we will make our way back to the rendezvous point, completing the experience in a total of 4 hours.

8 Hour Tour

For those wishing to deepen their connection with nature, this option is highly recommended. We will follow the same route as the shorter tour, extending it to 10 km (6 miles) as we venture further into the natural landscape.

Weather permitting, you will be able to observe numerous species of native birds either perched on the banks or swimming in the river. Additionally, we will discuss the merging of over five rivers in the area, emphasizing the Valdivia River's significance for multiple rowing clubs throughout Chile.

We'll pause at the riverbanks for a snack, and after a brief rest, we’ll resume our journey. We'll paddle upstream, concluding our adventure and returning to the initial meeting point after an enriching 8-hour experience.
