Valencia de Alcántara 4x4 Tour

We'll meet at 10 am at the bullring in Valencia de Alcántara. Once everyone is present, we will depart in a 4x4 vehicle to visit two significant locations.

First, we will travel through the Sierra de San Pedro to visit one of the most important megalithic sites in Europe, featuring granite and slate dolmens that are over 4000 years old, primarily funerary in nature.

After the archaeological site visit, we will continue in the 4x4 to Berrocal de la Data, the fifth natural monument in Extremadura, characterized by a group of granite rocks and nesting griffon vultures, surrounded by forests of chestnut trees, scrubland, and cork oaks.

Additionally, ancient cave paintings and five dolmens have been identified at this site: Data I, Data II, Mellizo, Cajirón I, and Cajirón II. Here, we will enjoy a picnic featuring typical products like cheese and chorizo.

Lastly, we will return to the starting point in Valencia de Alcántara at 1 pm.
