Valencia de Alcántara Offroad Tour

We'll meet at the designated time at the bullring in Valencia de Alcántara. Once gathered, we will enter an offroad vehicle and begin the tour of two notable locations.

First, we will travel through the Sierra de San Pedro to visit one of the most important megalithic sites in Europe. We will walk among granite and slate dolmens that are more than 4000 years old, which are funerary structures.

After visiting the archaeological site, we will drive to Berrocal de la Data, which is now the fifth natural monument in Extremadura. This 465-hectare area features a group of granite rocks of various shapes where griffon vultures nest, surrounded by extensive forests of chestnut trees, scrubland, and cork oaks.

Additionally, millenary cave paintings and five dolmens have been identified at this site: Data I, Data II, Mellizo, Cajirón I, and Cajirón II. Here, we will enjoy a picnic featuring typical products such as cheese and chorizo.

Finally, we will return to the starting point in Valencia de Alcántara to conclude this 3-hour tour.
