Our expedition begins at the bullring in Valencia de Alcántara at the appointed hour. Once the group is assembled, we will board an off-road vehicle and commence our exploration of two remarkable locations.

Initially, we will navigate through the Sierra de San Pedro to reach an exceptional megalithic site, one of the most significant in Europe. You will have the opportunity to stroll among the granite and slate dolmens, which date back over 4000 years! These structures serve a funerary purpose, offering a glimpse into ancient rituals.

After this enlightening visit, we will continue our journey in the 4x4 to explore Berrocal de la Data, now recognized as the fifth natural monument in Extremadura. The stunning landscape will quickly reveal the reason for its importance!

This 465-hectare site features an impressive formation of uniquely shaped granite rocks that serve as nesting grounds for the local griffon vultures. Additionally, it is enveloped by vast forests of chestnut trees, scrubland, and cork oaks.

As if this weren't enough, ancient cave paintings and five dolmens have also been discovered, including Data I, Data II, Mellizo, Cajirón I, and Cajirón II. In this remarkable setting, we will take a break to enjoy a picnic featuring traditional delicacies such as cheese and chorizo.
