Travel to the province of Castellón to explore the medieval town of Morella and Peñíscola, learning about the history of Pope Luna.

Description

We will pick you up at your chosen meeting point in central Valencia and head north towards Morella. The journey, lasting just over two hours, takes us parallel to the coastline until we arrive at this historical town.

You will stroll along the cobblestone streets and visit local craft stalls, culminating at the historic castle atop the town. This 12th-century Islamic fortress has significant historical importance for the Crown of Aragon. A typical Morellana meal will be served after our exploration.

Post-lunch, we will travel to Peñíscola, where we will discuss the origins of the city and Pope Luna. Upon arrival, we will visit the castle that served as his palace and personal library. Further details will be provided during the tour.

The tour includes a visit to the old town of Peñíscola, featuring Islamic, Roman, and Templar architecture, as well as the old city wall. The experience will evoke a sense of stepping back in time.

After a full day of exploration, we will return to Valencia and drop you off at your selected meeting point.
