Excursion to Xàtiva and Anna

On this trip to Xàtiva and Anna, we will explore the history of two towns in the mountains of Valencia.

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Number 4 on Calle de la Blanquería before departing from Valencia towards Xàtiva.

After a journey of around 60 km (37 miles), we will arrive at Xàtiva Castle, which consists of Castell Menor and Castell Major, built on Iberian and Roman ruins. We will learn about the fortress's history and enjoy views of the town from its elevated location.

The next stop is Xàtiva's old town, where we will discuss the town's significance as the birthplace of the Borgia Popes and its connection to the King of Valencia. We will also cover the town's destruction in the 18th century and its subsequent recovery.

Our tour continues to Anna, where we will visit the Palacio de los Condes de Cervellón in the historic center. Following this visit, we will stop at Lake Anna, also known as the Albufera of Anna, before returning to Valencia.

We will conclude our journey after 7 hours back at the original meeting point in Valencia.
