Excursion to Xàtiva and Anna

On this trip to Xàtiva and Anna, we'll discover the secrets and history of these 2 towns in the mountains of Valencia.

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Number 4 on Calle de la Blanquería before departing Valencia for our first destination, Xàtiva.

After approximately 60km (37 miles), we will visit Xàtiva Castle, a historic fortress that includes the Castell Menor and Castell Major, built on Iberian and Roman ruins. We will explore its history and enjoy views of the town from its elevated position.

Next, we will proceed to Xàtiva's old town, where we'll learn about its historical significance, notably its connection to the Borgia Popes and the King of Valencia. We will also discuss the town's devastation in the 18th century and its subsequent recovery.

Our tour will then take us to Anna, where we will visit the Palacio de los Condes de Cervellón in the historic center. Following this visit, we will stop at Lake Anna, known as the Albufera of Anna, before beginning our return journey.

After 7 hours, we will return to our meeting point in Valencia.
