Here, you will encounter significant remnants from the ancient Roman era, including the theatre, the fortress, and the renowned Via Augusta.

Sagunto Excursion



At the scheduled time, we will collect you from your chosen meeting location before departing towards Sagunto, an ancient Roman settlement situated approximately twenty miles from Valencia. As we travel, you will have the opportunity to observe some of the earliest Roman sites in this region, which have withstood the test of time for over two millennia. Prepare to be transported back in history!



Upon arrival in Sagunto, we will commence a guided walking tour to uncover the Roman archaeological treasures that remain within the city, starting with the renowned fortress. This strategically positioned hilltop structure was constructed to safeguard the city against invasions.



Next, we will venture into the historic core of Sagunto, marked by its steep cobbled lanes. You will truly feel as if you are stepping into the shoes of a Roman! Our following highlight is the illustrious Roman theatre of Sagunto, a striking emblem of the city. Notably, this was the first edifice recognized as a National Monument in Spain.



After exploring the stage and seating areas of the ancient theatre, we will proceed to visit the Casa dels Berenguer, the local historical museum of Sagunto, or the intriguing Jewish Quarter.



Lastly, our tour will conclude as we return you to the original pickup point in Valencia, having spent a total of 4 hours delving into the city’s rich history.
