Valencia Cathedral + Borgia Legacy Tour
We will commence our guided tour of the Borgia Family in Valencia at the indicated time at Manises Square, located in front of the Palace of the Generalitat.
After a brief introduction, we will explore the Borgia Legacy. This powerful family, originally from the Zaragozan region of Borja, settled in Jativa and Gandia. Their influence extended across various cities.
Throughout our guided tour, we will stop at several churches and palaces to observe their architecture and the symbols of the Borgia family. The Borgia family possessed an extensive art collection, including pieces linked to the Holy Grail. We will investigate this legend at the Valencia Cathedral.
Upon entering the cathedral, we will further examine the Borgia family's impact, noting that two members, Calixtus III and Alexander VI, became Pope.
After 2.5 hours, our tour will conclude at St. Lawrence Square, which houses the current seat of the Valencian Parliament within the Palace of Benicarló, a site formerly owned by the Borgia family.
