On this day trip to Xàtiva and Anna, we'll discover the secrets and history of these 2 towns in the mountains of Valencia.

Day Trip Details

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Number 4 on Calle de la Blanquería before leaving Valencia and heading to our first destination: Xàtiva.

After a journey of around 60km (37 miles), we'll arrive at the hill where Xàtiva Castle is situated. This historic fortress comprises two areas, the Castell Menor and Castell Major, built on Iberian and Roman ruins. We will explore the history and purpose of this fortification and enjoy views of the town from its mountain location.

Next, we will visit Xàtiva's old town, learning about its history as the birthplace of the Borgia Popes and its significance to the King of Valencia. We will discuss the town's destruction in the 18th century and its subsequent recovery.

We will then travel to Anna, where our first stop will be the Palacio de los Condes de Cervellón (Palace of the Counts of Cervellón) in the historic centre.

After visiting the palace and its history, we will proceed to Lake Anna, also known as the Albufera of Anna, a natural attraction.

Finally, after a total duration of 7 hours, we will return to the meeting point in Valencia.
