Las Coloradas and Ek Balam Trip
Pickup from your hotel in Valladolid occurs between 7 and 7:30 am. We will head to the municipality of Río Lagartos for a 2-hour boat ride on the Lagartos River.
During the boat ride, we will explore the protected environmental reserve, observing flamingos, herons, and pelicans. After the ride, enjoy a traditional Mayan mud bath before having a typical lunch with a selection of regional dishes.
At 12:30 pm, we will visit the archaeological site Ek Balam, where you can see walls, pyramids, arches, and a pre-Columbian ball game. Following the visit, you will have free time to explore the site.
We will return to Valladolid, with an estimated arrival at your hotel around 5:30 pm.
