Join us for a street food tour of Valletta and taste your way through the Maltese capital while uncovering local flavors.

Valletta Street Food Tour

On the day of the tour, we will meet at the Maltese Parliament and begin our street food tour around Valletta. The tour includes visits to key sites such as the Palace of the Grand Master and the Superior Gardens of Barrakka, with stops at several street food stalls.

Our first tasting will be pastizzi, a puff pastry filled with ricotta or pea paste. Next, we’ll stroll along Mercaderes Street to try ftira, a fermented bread filled with sardines, tuna, potatoes, tomatoes, onions, and olives, recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.

Throughout the tour, we will see landmarks including St. John's Co-Cathedral, Republic Square, and St. George's Square. We will also sample gbejniet, a local cheese, and bigilla, the Maltese version of hummus.

To conclude the tour, we will enjoy traditional Maltese sweets with a local soft drink called Kinnie and Malta's preferred beer, before returning to the starting point after 3 hours of exploration.
