Join us for a street food tour of Valletta and taste your way through the Maltese capital. Uncover local flavors and experience Malta through its cuisine!

Valletta Street Food Tour

On the day of the activity, we'll meet at the Maltese Parliament and set off on a street food tour around Valletta. We will visit main sites like the Palace of the Grand Master and the Superior Gardens of Barrakka, stopping at street food stalls. First, we'll try pastizzi, a puff pastry with ricotta or pea paste.

Continuing our route along Mercaderes Street, we will sample ftira, a historic fermented bread stuffed with sardines, tuna, potatoes, tomatoes, onions, and olives. This bread is recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.

We will explore other landmarks like St. John's Co-Cathedral, Republic Square, and St. George's Square. We will also taste gbejniet, a local cheese, and bigilla, a Maltese variant of hummus.

To conclude our tour, we will enjoy traditional Maltese sweets with a local soft drink, Kinnie, and Maltese beer. We will return to the starting point after 3 hours of culinary exploration.
