Spend the day visiting one of Chile's main Humboldt penguin colonies on our excursion to Cachagua Island, starting from Viña del Mar.
Cachagua Island Penguin Watching
At 9 am, pickup will be from your hotel in Viña del Mar, heading north along the Pacific Ocean, passing Reñaca, Concón, and the mouth of the Aconcagua River. We will arrive in Zapallar, board a fishermen's boat, and sail to Cachagua Island, known for its colony of Humboldt penguins. The boat trip lasts 1 hour, during which we will observe pelicans, seagulls, and ducks, highlighting the island's rich biodiversity.
The trip concludes at Zapallar dock, followed by a visit to a local empanada bar where you can enjoy a Chilean delicacy with a soft drink or mineral water. We will return to your hotel in Viña del Mar by 3 pm.
