Funicular Tour of Valparaiso

We'll pick you up from your accommodation at the indicated time to start our tour of Valparaiso, known for its funicular railways that run up the hillsides. We'll explore different neighbourhoods using these historic elevators.

During the tour, you'll learn about the origins of this public transport method and ride on one of the oldest in Valparaiso. Our stops include Barrio Puerto and Cerro Cordillera with its Cordillera and San Agustin funiculars.

Next, we will visit Cerro Alegre and its Concepción elevator, the first inaugurated, connected to a key viewpoint of the city for a panorama of the coastline.

By the tour's end, we will have ridden all seven funiculars in Valparaiso still in operation, exploring the hills they connect with. The tour lasts 4.5 hours.

Tour without Pickup

If preferred, you can select the tour without pickup. In this case, you will meet the guide at Plaza Sotomayor at 10:30 am or 3:30 pm, depending on your choice.
