Valparaíso Funicular Railway Experience

Your adventure begins with a prompt pick-up from your hotel at the scheduled hour, setting the stage for a remarkable journey through Valparaíso. This vibrant Chilean city is well-known for its funicular railways ascending the hillside. We'll navigate various neighborhoods using these historic elevators.

As we traverse the city, you'll learn about the intriguing history of this unique transportation system. Furthermore, we'll have the chance to board one of Valparaíso’s oldest funiculars. Our exploration will take us to Barrio Puerto and Cerro Cordillera, where we'll experience the Cordillera and San Agustin funiculars. Witness the sight of these systems gracefully climbing the slopes!

Next on our journey is Cerro Alegre, featuring the renowned Concepción elevator, the very first to be operational and linked to one of the city's top viewpoints. Here, you'll be treated to an incredible vista of the coastline.

By the conclusion of our tour, we will have experienced all seven funiculars currently in operation in Valparaíso while also discovering the neighborhoods they service. Our outing will wrap up back at your accommodation after 4.5 hours of engaging exploration.

Tour Option without Pickup

If you prefer a different arrangement, you can join the tour without the pickup service. In this case, simply meet your guide at Plaza Sotomayor in Valparaíso at either 10:30 am or 3:30 pm, based on your choice.
