Funicular Tour of Valparaiso

We'll pick you up from your accommodation at the indicated time, before starting our tour of Valparaiso, known for its funicular railways that run up the hillsides. We'll explore various neighborhoods using these historic elevators.

During the tour, you'll learn about the origins of this public transport system and have the opportunity to ride on one of the oldest in Valparaiso. We'll visit Barrio Puerto and Cerro Cordillera with its Cordillera and San Agustin funiculars, observing them as they navigate the hillside.

Next, we'll head to Cerro Alegre where the Concepción elevator is located, the first to be inaugurated and connected to a major viewpoint. Here, we'll enjoy stunning coastal views.

By the end of the tour, we will have ridden all seven funiculars in Valparaiso still in operation and explored the hills they connect. The tour lasts approximately 4.5 hours.

Tour without Pickup

If preferred, you can choose the tour without pickup. You will meet the guide at Plaza Sotomayor in Valparaíso at either 10:30 am or 3:30 pm, depending on your selection.
