Valparaiso Walking Tour

We'll meet in Plaza Sotomayor at 2 pm to begin our tour of the principal attractions of Valparaiso. The city features colorful houses set against a hillside landscape overlooking the sea.

The tour starts on one of Valparaiso’s famous funicular railways, which have connected the lower part of the city with the hilltop districts for over 100 years. We will explore Alegre Hill and Concepción Hill, strolling along the streets and ascending steps to reach breathtaking viewpoints.

Next, we will take another funicular train back to Plaza Sotomayor, then board a trolleybus to tour the historic center of the city. Some of these vehicles are over 50 years old and are classified as National Monuments.

The final highlight is a ride on the Artillería funicular, known for its spectacular views of the city. Ensure your cameras are ready! The tour concludes at Paseo 21 de Mayo around 5 pm.
