When booking, you can choose between three options to snorkel in Sao Jorge. All include pickup, transport, an English-speaking guide, and snorkeling equipment. Below are the details of each option:

Snorkeling in the Simão Dias Natural Pool (4 hours)

We'll set out for the Fajã de Ouvidor viewpoint for views of the northern coast of Sao Jorge. Then, we’ll head to the coast for a snorkeling experience in the Simão Dias natural pool. In the water, we’ll see various species, such as turtles or tuna. After 1.5 hours of diving, you can investigate, rest, and have a drink before returning to the collection point.

Snorkeling in Urzelina (4 hours)

After pickup, we’ll go to Urzelina to snorkel in the southern part of Sao Jorge. With our gear, we’ll start a 1.5-hour tour to see volcanic basalt rocks, cliff cavities, and colorful schools of fish, possibly spotting dolphins. Following the snorkeling, you have free time to eat and relax.

Snorkeling in Sao Jorge (4 hours)

This option includes snorkeling at multiple locations in Sao Jorge. We’ll visit the Fajã de Ouvidor viewpoint before arriving at the Simão Dias natural pool, where you can explore the crystalline waters and jump from the rocks. We then travel through volcanic mountains to Fajã de Santo Amaro beach for snorkeling encounters with white marlins, turtles, swordfish, and manta rays. Finally, we’ll go to the Urzelina area for those adventurous enough to approach a World War II shipwreck.

Pickup

Pickup will be at any point of your choice on the island of São Jorge.
